HLAA East Bay chapter member Claudia Marseille — author, painter, and a woman of many talents, will discuss her memoir about her life with a life-long severe hearing loss. She was mainstreamed in the oral world at a time before the advent of disability accommodations and sophisticated hearing technologies. Growing up in Berkeley and moving into adulthood, she met many struggles. She has, nevertheless achieved a fulfilling adult life with her family and successful art career. Her memoir, But You Look So Normal, will be available for sale and author signing at the meeting at market cost of $20 including tax, with cash payment preferred.
